Fireside Weekly
Subscription terms
Last updated 22 October 2026
1. About these terms
Fireside Weekly publishes weekly printable activity packs for UK care homes. In this document, “we” means Fireside Weekly.
These terms apply when a care home or other organisation subscribes to Fireside Weekly or downloads a free sample. They’re written for business customers, not consumers. Questions: team@firesideweekly.com.
2. What you get
A printable activity pack (PDF) sent by email each week, usually on Thursday morning and ready for the following week, for as long as your subscription is active.
3. How you can use the packs
- A subscription covers one care home. A group subscription covers the homes named on your invoice.
- Staff, residents and visiting family at that home can use the packs, and you can print as many copies as the home needs.
- Please don’t resell the packs, publish them online, or share them with other homes or organisations.
- The free sample can be used in your home on the same basis.
- We keep the copyright in the packs. Your licence continues for packs you received while subscribed, even after you cancel.
4. Price and payment
- Monthly subscriptions are £19 per home, paid in advance by card each month.
- Groups of five or more homes pay £15 per home each month, on one invoice.
- Annual subscriptions are £190 per home, paid by invoice within 30 days.
- We’re not VAT registered, so there’s no VAT to add. If that changes, we’ll tell you before it affects your price.
- We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice by email. Founding homes keep £19 a month for as long as their subscription continues without a break.
5. Cancelling
- You can cancel a monthly subscription at any time by replying to any of our emails. It stops at the end of the month you’ve paid for. We don’t refund part months.
- You can cancel an annual subscription within 14 days of the invoice date for a full refund. After that it runs to the end of the year you’ve paid for.
- We may end a subscription with 30 days’ notice, and we’ll refund any period you’ve paid for but won’t receive.
6. If a pack is late or has a mistake
We aim to send every pack on the Thursday before the week it’s for. If a pack is more than two days late or doesn’t arrive, tell us and we’ll add a free week to your subscription. We check every fact against a reliable source, but if you spot a mistake, please tell us and we’ll correct it.
7. Running activities safely
The packs are activity ideas, not medical or care advice. Your staff are responsible for deciding which activities suit each resident and for supervising them in line with each resident’s care plan, including diet, swallowing, mobility and emotional wellbeing.
8. Our liability
Our total liability to you under these terms is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll email subscribers at least 30 days before a change that affects them, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If your home is in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
